The information I collect depends on how you interact with Taste With Jo.

You can contact Taste With Jo through the website’s enquiry form or by email.

The public enquiry form may ask for your name, email address, town or postcode and a brief description of what you are looking for.

The website uses WPForms Lite to provide this form. At the time this policy was prepared, WPForms entry storage and Lite Connect entry backups were disabled. Form submissions are therefore not stored as entries in the WordPress database by WPForms.

Your enquiry is sent to my business email so that I can read it and respond. Your message and any subsequent correspondence may remain in my email account until they are no longer needed.

Please do not include unnecessary medical information or other sensitive personal details in the general enquiry form.

5. In-home meal prep enquiries and client questionnaires

If you enquire about my in-home meal prep service, I may ask you to complete a more detailed questionnaire before preparing a personalised menu or quotation.

The questionnaire may collect information about:

6. Allergies, intolerances and health-related information

Information about allergies, intolerances, medical conditions or medically recommended diets may be sensitive personal data under Swiss data-protection law.

I collect and use this information only where it is relevant to the meal prep service you request and you choose to provide it.

For example, information about a food allergy may be needed to discuss suitable ingredients and meal preparation. Information about a medically recommended diet may be used to follow instructions you provide from your doctor or dietitian, where this has been agreed as part of the service.

I do not use this information to diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medical diets or provide medical treatment.

Please avoid providing unrelated medical histories or other health information that is not necessary for preparing your meals.

Health-related information is not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

7. Schweizerform

The detailed meal prep questionnaire may be provided through Schweizerform.

According to Schweizerform’s published information, questionnaire responses are encrypted in the participant’s browser before transmission and stored in encrypted form. Schweizerform states that it does not hold the keys needed to decrypt those responses.

Schweizerform provides the technical service used to collect and manage questionnaire responses. I use the information you submit to assess your requirements and prepare or provide the requested meal prep service.

8. Online shop and digital products

Taste With Jo uses WooCommerce to operate its online shop and sell digital products, including e-books.

When you place an order, the website may collect and process information such as your name, email address, billing details, purchased products, order number, payment status and information needed to deliver your purchase.

Order and transaction information may be stored within the website’s WooCommerce system and in associated business records.

Your email address may be used to send order confirmations, purchase-related messages, download information and necessary customer support communications.

Information connected with a purchase may need to be retained for accounting, tax, transaction administration, dispute resolution or other applicable legal purposes.

9. Payment processing

Online payments are processed using Stripe.

When you make a purchase, Stripe processes the payment information necessary to complete the transaction. Taste With Jo does not store your complete payment-card details in its own WordPress database.

I may receive information such as payment status, transaction identifiers, the amount paid and other information necessary to administer your order, provide customer support or maintain appropriate financial records.

Stripe may process personal information as a service provider and, for certain purposes, as an independent controller under its own applicable privacy terms.

10. Comments and Gravatar

If you leave a comment on the website, the information entered in the comment form may be collected together with your IP address and browser information for comment administration, security and spam prevention.

An anonymised value derived from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you use it. If your comment is approved, your Gravatar profile picture may be displayed publicly alongside your comment.

General enquiries

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking or ongoing customer relationship will generally be deleted when no longer needed, normally within approximately three months after the last relevant contact.

Meal prep questionnaires and client preferences

Questionnaire responses and client preference information will generally be retained during an active client relationship and for up to approximately 12 months after the last relevant service or contact, unless a shorter period is appropriate or a longer period is necessary for a specific lawful reason.

Orders and accounting records

Invoices, transaction records and other information required for accounting, tax or legal purposes may be retained for the applicable statutory period. Relevant Swiss business and accounting records may be subject to a ten-year retention requirement.

This does not mean that an entire meal prep questionnaire or unrelated sensitive information will be retained for ten years merely because an invoice must be kept.

Comments

Published comments and associated metadata may remain on the website until the comment is removed or the information is no longer needed.

Cookies and analytics

Retention periods vary depending on the particular cookie, technology and service provider. Further information is available through the Cookie Policy and the relevant provider’s documentation.

Other information

Information may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, investigate security incidents or comply with a legal obligation.

When information is no longer needed, I aim to delete it or anonymise it where appropriate.

20. Marketing communications

Taste With Jo may display a newsletter or email subscription form on the website.

At the time this policy was prepared, the newsletter service was not actively being used to send marketing emails.
